Creative vacation with children!

Holidays are a perfect time to visit the museum with your children. The Emigration Museum in Gdynia has prepared the Vacation Creative Zone especially for its youngest visitors. What is more, the Vacation | Creation workshops will be held every Tuesday.

The Vacation Creativity Zone will be open from Tuesday until Friday. Masterpieces inspired by the sea and the port surroundings will be created under the careful supervision of an educator. The classes are fun for the entire family - children participate in them together with their parents. The zone is open 10AM-2PM on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundaysand 12-4PM on Fridays. Free admission!

Vacation | Creation, on the other hand, are to family vacation workshops held every Tuesday. Both children and their carers can discover their artistic talents during the unique classes. Each workshop is devoted to a different theme. The first meeting, on 5th July, will be called Port-art - the port face of street art. At the workshops, we will turn into street artists. A week later, on 12th July, we will look for various typefaces and we will design our own font, during the Alphabet scattered around the port workshop.On 19th July, we will build a district of cardboard pieces together. It will be inspired by the port architecture. On 26th July, we will get to know the historic Maritime Station and its surroundings in a non-typical way - through touch, during the Touch the Museum workshop.

The August meetings will be opened by the In search of sounds workshop. On 2nd August, we will set off on a sound walk. Later, we will construct a music masterpiece of the port sounds. Snap! On 9th August, there will be a chance to re-enact situations shown in photographs from the 30s of the 20th century. On 16th August, during the Printing sea meeting we will make our own graphic designs with printing matrices. On 23rd August, the following Thursday, the young participants of the Pack the history workshop will have a chance to tell their own story inspired by the Maritime Station and give it to someone close to them as a gift, in a box.

On the last vacation Tuesday, on 30th August, we will discover the secrets of the port by taking a walk around the Museum neighbourhood.

The classes will be held in different spaces of the Emigration Museum in Gdynia and the port. We will always start at 12:00, next to the Museum ticket office.

The participants need to make a booking in advance: warsztaty@muzeumemigracji.pl (please provide the name of the child, his or her age and the carer's telephone number). The cost of the workshop is PLN 10. Siblings: + PLN 5, Carers: free The number of participants is limited.
