We invite you for a family event on 3rd December!
Theatre, music, modelling - these were some of the activities enjoyed by the participants of this year's "Museum Without Exception" project. On Sunday, 3rd December, they will present the results of their work. The agenda also includes creative family workshops and open modelling workshops.
The whole event will be interpreted into sign language.
The programme has been prepared by present and former pupils of the Special Educational Centre No. 1 in Gdynia under the supervision of Barbara Milewska and in cooperation with invited guests.
- We believe that a modern cultural institution is a place open to everyone - says Anna Posłuszna, the project coordinator. - We wanted not only to make it possible for people with disabilities to comfortably visit the exhibition, but also to regularly include them in the cultural life of the institution.
It is already the third edition of the "Museum Without Exception" project run by the Emigration Museum in Gdynia. It is addressed to people with vision disabilities, for the deaf, deafblind, as well as for those with intellectual disabilities. The project involves lectures, workshops or guided tours of the permanent exhibition adapted to the needs of the participants. All these events are free of charge. The offer prepared by the museum is intended both for groups and individuals.
"Museum Without Exception 2017" was co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage as a part of the "Accessible Culture" programme. The project partners are The Deaf and Blind Aid Society, The Centre of Integration and Special Educational Centre no. 1 in Gdynia.
We would like to thank all those who made their contribution in the project. Special thanks to students of the Centre for Vocational and Continuous Education No. 2, Ms. Beata Mielewczyk and Ms. Irina Panicheva.
