Our catalogue appreciated at Sybilla 2016!

The catalogue of our exhibition has been awarded with honourable mention in the contest for the museum event of the year in the publication category. The solemn gala of XXXVII edition of Sybilla was held on 16th May at the Royal Castle in Warsaw.

The gala of the museum event of the year and Sybilla awards constitute the most important date in the calendar of museum institutions in Poland. The received honourable mention for the permanent exhibition has been already the second one for the Emigration Museum in Gdynia in this contest. At the last year's final it was the permanent exhibition that was appreciated.

The exhibition catalogue was edited by Tomasz Stefanek and the Museum Director, Karolina Grabowicz-Matyjas. The graphic design was created by Kasper Skirgajłło-Krajewski. Nearly 350-page publication is not only an insightful and richly illustrated description of the permanent exhibition, but also an opportunity to get to know the mission and vision of the institution, described by its creators and the originator, President of Gdynia, Wojciech Szczurek.

During all the Long Night of Museums the catalogue will be available for purchase in our bookstore at a discounted price of PLN 45 (the regular price is PLN 64). The publication is available in Polish and English.
