Museum. Share It!

The two-year project "Museum. Share It!" is a creative adaptation of a tried-and-tested Swedish museum education programme called "Mini-Guides". The project is aimed at the staff and attendees and their families from six socio-therapeutic community centres in Gdynia. It aims not only to develop media and information competencies, as well as social skills, in children and youth but also to integrate the local community.

The following activities have been planned as part of the project, to take place between March 2015 and November 2016: study visits, training for the centres' staff, workshops for children and youths, family events or a seminar for cultural institutions with the participation of Polish and Swedish experts.

The project "Museum. Share It!" has received a subsidy from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage as part of the "Media and Information Education" programme. It is being implemented in partnership with the Marinmuseum in Karlskrona, Stena Line Poland and four Gdynia non-government organizations: Social Education Association NON STOP, Association "Perspektywa", Foundation of Social Change "Kreatywni" and Association of Professional and Personal Development "Zielona Myśl".
