The building of the Emigration Museum in Gdynia is adapted to the needs of persons with physical impairments. It is equipped with lifts and has no thresholds. There are toilets for the physically impaired in the exhibition area as well as in the Marine Station building. These toilets are equipped with additionally changing tables. There is a wheelchair access ramp leading to the entrance and next to the front entrance you will find a doorbell with a backlit button. The parking area in front of the building features spaces for the vehicles of impaired persons. Low-floor public buses also run direct to the Marine Station.
The entire exhibition is wheelchair-accessible with the exception of the railway carriage which symbolises the so-called repatriation from the East. Nearby is a multimedia point with live broadcasts showing the interior of this part of the exhibition.The text size and contrast on all media screens can be adjusted to the needs of the visually impaired.
